Timeliness

I know I have not been exactly timely in blogging, I promise to try to get better. We are excited to be heading to West Jefferson, NC this upcoming weekend to Camp New Hope. We were contacted by Randy Brown after she saw our article in the Concord Tribune. Camp New Hope offers families with chronically or terminally ill children an oppurtunity to just get away from it all. The lodge has 5 bedrooms and sits on 140 acres near the Blue Ridge Parkway and right on the New River. There is a surprise coming for the boys on Saturday afternoon and the best part for them is that we get to take Cubby with us.
The boys are starting to get excited about the end of school and our Make a Wish trip to Disney. On Friday Emily Riley from Make A Wish came to Odell and presented the school with a plaque to thank them. Final tally for just the school was over $16,000 raised for MAW. Emily has been doing this for 3 years with MAW and this was by far the most money raised by one school.

Finally, another plug for merchandise. We still have Tshirts available from our May 5 event. We also have wristbands for our website. Tshirts are $15.00 and wristbands are $2.00 Contactus@ourboysjourney.com or chawk328@ctc.net to order.
