M*A*S*H* and Saturday’s event

OK, so you know it’s bad when the fireman comes in your front door and says “Mrs. Hawkins, that was the same place I saw you last time I was here!”(Hanging over the kitchen sink with blood gushing from her nose) Tuesday morning Wendy blew a gasket in her nose again and she got another ambulance ride to North East Medical Center in Concord. This time her ENT decided to put her under and go in and take a look. He ended up cauterizing a couple of spots and sent her home again with bed rest. Sometime in all the bad seats in ERs and hospital rooms(and probably stress) I threw my back out and was VERY uncomfortable last night and into this morning. Luckily I could get in and see Dr Bill and I feel better, not 100% but better. Sure beats the back surgery pain, but this was as uncomfortable as I had been with my back since that surgery 10 years ago. Enough about us. On to bigger and more important things! This Saturday we have been asked to participate in a fundraiser that the Bradford Park neighborhood in Harrisburg is sponsoring. They are doing a
5k Turkey Trot with proceeds benefiting the Make a Wish Foundation. Sounds like the boys may be able to hold the flag for the national anthem and possibly even start the race! They are excited and we are happy to be able to give back to Make a Wish for accepting us for the boys wishes, not to mention the fact that they do great work for kids all across the country!
