The little things

Jeremy came home from school so excited yesterday,  the school staff has been working to get him a laptop for some of his schoolwork.   My wife said it best in an email to me at work yesterday afternoon that had me welling up: “Jeremy came home from school so excited today!  He ran in the house and jumped up on me for me to hold him.  The entire time he was screaming with delight that he had a laptop computer now.  I shared in his enthusiasm and told him I knew he would get one and that he did a great job with his patience for it to come.  He squeezed me even harder and said, “Momma I love you.  Thank you for believing in me”.   Moments like this makes all the difficult times so worth it!
