Camp New Hope needs your help

Many of you who have read this blog in the past know about Camp New Hope and what a special place it holds in our hearts.  I have received an email from Randy Brown the director of the camp tonight and I wanted to share some of it with you, ask you to look into your heart and share it with others to help this amazing place.   Words really don’t do justice to the beauty of the Camp and the pictures help, but still don’t get you to the special state of mind that happens when you visit.   The lodge was built in the 1950’s and the bathrooms are extremely small since it ‘s original purpose was only as a hunting lodge.  Many of the children they serve are in wheelchairs and are non ambulatory so this makes bathing almost impossible.  They are needing about $60,000 for an addition which will include a walk in shower large enough to accommodate a shower chair and an adult, extra floor space in the kitchen and an area for a washer and dryer.  It will also provide  extra space in the master bedroom for a child’s bed to be close to mom and dad and will enclose a non insulated outdoor wall that has caused pipes to freeze in the past.    If you feel this calling in your heart please consider it.  Donations can be mailed to Camp New Hope at PO Box 154 Glendale Springs NC 28629.  If you have questions I will try to answer them as best that I can.   Thanks!
