Peace, Comfort and Life Everlasting

All politics aside for this heartfelt day.  Elizabeth Edwards was laid to rest today next to her cherished son Wade.  To me, mother to mother and woman to woman she was a vision of vigor, might and fortitude.  On one of my unwavering expeditions, our family was fortunate to meet Mrs. Edwards at her new book signing Resilience.  Brandon had shown much interest in the last presidential election, and we spoke about the details often.  I have now explained to Brandon the Elizabeth Edwards passed away due to her struggle with cancer.  Even with Brandon having a neurodegenerative disease,  it has not taken away all of his proficiency in recollecting  former discussions.  He remembered the book signing day, and the information I had shared with him about Mrs. Edwards.  Today Brandon understood about Elizabeth’s death and talked about a funeral.  I explained she would be buried next to her son Wade who had died years ago in a car accident.  Brandon then took over the rest of the conversation by explaining to me, “Mommy, she will not have any pain anymore from her disease”.  He went on to explain that “he was sure that she and Wade would talk to God and heal Batten Disease and all the other people whom were sick”.  Wisdom beyond belief!  Thank the good Lord, that we are all children of God and are on this earth to fulfill our purpose.
