Spaghetti Success!!!!!

I wanted to do this sooner but time always seems to get away from me. Our Spaghetti Supper at Forest Hill United Methodist was a great night. What a great group of people, they took us in and made us feel at home even though this was our first time meeting most of them. I know where I am headed next time for a spaghetti fix, my hat’s off to the chef’s in the FHUMC kitchen! Special recognition to Monica Hughes, Gerry Flory, Joe Panko and all the volunteers for all their efforts in making this night a success. From what I understand we tied a record for this recurring event, raising $1700!!!!!

Please check out our friend Laura Edwards blog at http://www.taylorstale.com for a great insight into another family coping with Batten Disease, Laura is big sis. A recent blog entry from Laura hit home with me. They have an “Angel List” going, recognizing people who “get it” and do things big and small to make a difference in their lives. Not sure if it is really on paper or not, but we certainly do the same thing and our friends at Forest Hill our certainly on that list!

Be on the lookout for some pics from a 1/2 mile wide hailstorm that hit our neighborhood Sunday that caused damage to cars and homes in the neighborhood.

Ta Ta for now!
